How to Apply

Are you a middle or high school teacher in the Carlsbad Unified School District? Do you have an idea to better engage students in music, STEAM, or new educational experiences? We’d love to hear about it!

The Teacher Grant Program is applicable to Carlsbad Unified School District secondary teachers and staff supporting music, STEAM, or driving educational innovation. Teacher grants are awarded for requests of $1,000+. The number of proposals awarded will depend on the funds available from the Foundation.  Additional items to keep in mind:

  • Projects that impact a large number of students are given preference.
  • Teacher collaboration is encouraged.
  • If you have previously received a grant from the Foundation, you must ensure that the previous project has been implemented and an evaluation report has been submitted before applying for another grant.

The grant application window will open in the Spring 2025 for the 2025-26 school year. Award recipients will be notified in the Spring 2025.
