About the SLC

Monthly Meetings

Monthly meetings are held from August through June and the focus is on enhancing your leadership skills through activities. Meetings are typically two hours in the evening and are held on a CUSD campus.

Community Engagement

In addition to monthly meetings, we provide opportunities throughout the year to volunteer or engage with nonprofits in our community. This could be for an event or to tour a nonprofit organization.

Corporate Connection

At least twice a year, we take a field trip or invite guest speakers from our corporate community to share their leadership stories. This invites access for students to learn about a new industry and career path.

Support Students

As an SLC member, you will volunteer and support the school community through the Carlsbad Educational Foundation (CEF), and have the opportunity to have a big impact on every student in CUSD.
