The convenient onsite location and flexible schedule that welcomes both morning and afternoon TK/K students, extends Kindergarten to a full-day exploration! In addition, it is the only Kindergarten program in Carlsbad that gives 100% of its proceeds back to the Carlsbad Unified School District for K-12 programs in music, STEAM, and educational innovation. Your student will benefit for years to come!

Engaging, Experienced Staff

The care of every student is our top priority. Our experienced staff is licensed through the State of California and we guarantee a student-staff ratio of 14:1. Every student is given attention and opportunity to have a safe, fun, and inspiring experience. Parents are encouraged to collaborate about progress along the way. In addition, staff members participate in ongoing training in curriculum, student behavior and First Aid/CPR.

Safety is a Priority!

Kids Care takes essential actions to create a physical environment that promotes student and staff safety through established protocols and procedures. We comply with the State of California guidelines and are aligned with the Carlsbad Unified School District. We continually monitor guidelines, update our procedures, and will inform you of any changes.

What Our Families Say

The older children are great at helping my kindergartner with computers and games and are very inclusive. The staff are very caring as well and very patient with very busy little kids!

– Parent, Magnolia Elementary

The teachers are amazing, which is the most important. They keep the kids entertained, and the curriculum mirrors that of the classroom. It is a wonderful combo of fun and learning.

– Parent. Hope Elementary

On a daily basis, my daughter tells me she loves Kids’ Care more than Kindergarten! There have been countless times when I have picked her up, and she says, ‘I want to stay a little longer!

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to your questions and learn more about details related to our programs, tuition, safety, and more.

I am not sure if my child will be assigned to early bird or late owl, should I wait to register?

No, register for Club Kinder now. Some of our sites reach capacity so enroll in the time frame that best meets your drop-off and pick-up needs. Registering early reserves your space. Once you receive your school schedule, email us to make any adjustments and your original enrollment date will remain the same so long as the pick up time has not changed.

How does my student get to the Club Kinder room after class?

Our Club Kinder staff will walk the kids to and from their TK/Kinder class to the Club Kinder room on campus.

Do I need to pack a lunch for my student?

Club Kinder only provides an afternoon snack for students in the 2:35 p.m. – 6 p.m. program. TK/K students need to bring a lunch or snack with them to Club Kinder and will eat lunch with Kids Care either before or after school depending on the time they have class. Hot lunch and morning snack are available through the school and requires parents to notify Kids Care staff and their school teacher when a hot lunch is requested so that the school cafeteria can prepare the correct number of meals.

Is my TK/Kinder put into groups with older students?

All students are placed in age appropriate groups.

What kinds of activities will my student do during the day?

Please contact the Club Kinder site coordinator at your school for activity/ schedule information?

Do you have homework club for TK/Kindergartners?

Homework club starts in 1st grade, however if you have a special request please contact the Club Kinder site coordinator at your student’s school for further assistance.

Does my pick-up time change when Grades 1-5 have early release?

Yes. Students enrolled in Club Kinder must be picked up at the time school is dismissed for students in grades 1-5. Typically, school dismissal is around 2:35 p.m. However, there are early school dismissal days at 1:35 p.m., which requires an earlier pick-up. Early dismissal has no effect on students enrolled in care until 6 p.m.
