Physical Education (PE) 2 – Session A
Course Description: PE 2 expands upon PE 1 for students entering grades 10-12. This course develops the knowledge and ability of students to attain and maintain an active, healthy lifestyle. There is a strong emphasis on individual fitness, exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor learning, and anatomy/physiology. Lap charts, skills assessments, and fitness testing will be the basis for this class.
Hybrid Learning Model:
Physical Activity Log: May 20 – June 28, students will submit a weekly physical activity log. Activity requires 90 minutes of physical activity and 30 minutes of stretching five days per week.
Hybrid Instruction: June 12 – June 27, students will attend in person at Carlsbad High School Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm
