Carlsbad, California — The Carlsbad Educational Foundation (CEF) is proud to present its third annual Gala to Benefit Students on May 18, 2024.
The evening’s highlight will be the much-anticipated performance by Yachtley Crew, acclaimed as ‘The Titans of Soft Rock’ and the nation’s leading yacht rock band. This seven-piece ensemble will be festively attired in nautical-themed suits and captain’s hats, delighting attendees with chart-topping hits from the late ‘70s to the early ‘80s, including classics such as Toto’s “Africa,” Looking Glass’ “Brandy,” and Rupert Holmes’ “Escape (The Piña Colada Song).”
The gala, hosted at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa, will bring together community members, philanthropists, and education supporters. A welcome reception, dinner and drinks, silent and live auction are also part of the evening’s entertainment. Previous events have achieved fundraising success, generating over $300,000.

Funds raised will directly support more than 40 programs in music, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math), and educational innovation both inside and outside the classroom. These initiatives have a profound impact on the lives of over 11,000 Carlsbad students in grades K-12, empowering them to realize their full potential and pursue their dreams.
